Start from the center of Escalante, where you can find the Escalante Interagency Visitor Center. Head south on Main Street until you reach the intersection with Highway 12. Cross the highway and continue south on the dirt road (this road is known as Hole-in-the-Rock Road). Follow this road for about 10 miles (16 km) until you reach the Peek-a-boo Canyon trailhead, which is marked by a parking area. Note: Since you're not traveling by car, consider arranging for a shuttle service from Escalante to the trailhead or look for any local tour operators that offer guided hikes to Peek-a-boo slot Canyon.

If you have access to a bike, start at the Escalante Interagency Visitor Center. Head south on Main Street, then turn onto Highway 12.
