Walking
If you are in the center of Mt. Carmel, start by heading north on US-89. Continue walking for about 2 miles until you reach the junction with UT-9. Once at the junction, turn left onto UT-9 East, which will lead you towards Zion National Park. Proceed on UT-9 for approximately 5 miles. You will pass through some beautiful scenery, so take your time and enjoy the views. Eventually, you will reach the town of Orderville. Once in Orderville, continue straight until you see signs for Elkheart Cliffs Slot Canyon Trailhead. The trailhead is located on the right side of the road, just past the intersection with East 200 North. Look for a small pullout area where other hikers may be parked. The trailhead will be marked, and you should see a path leading into the canyon.
