Getting There

    Start at the Mt. Carmel Junction, located at the intersection of Highway 89 and Highway 9. Head south on Highway 89 for approximately 1 mile. You will pass the Mt. Carmel Cemetery on your left. After passing the cemetery, look for a small parking area on your left. The trailhead for The Belly of the Dragon is located just off the highway, marked by a short path leading into the canyon.

    If you choose to bike, start from the Mt. Carmel Junction and head south on Highway 89. Make sure to stay on the shoulder of the road for safety. After approximately 1 mile, you will see the parking area next to the Belly of the Dragon trailhead on your left.
