Walking
Start at the Mt. Carmel Junction, located at the intersection of Highway 89 and Highway 9. Head south on Highway 89 for approximately 1 mile. You will pass the Mt. Carmel Cemetery on your left. After passing the cemetery, look for a small parking area on your left. The trailhead for The Belly of the Dragon is located just off the highway, marked by a short path leading into the canyon.

After approximately 1 mile, you will see the parking area next to the Belly of the Dragon trailhead on your left.
