From the entrance of the Sistine Chapel, exit towards the Vatican Museums' main entrance. Once outside, head straight on Viale Vaticano until you reach the intersection with Via di Porta Angelica. Turn left onto Via di Porta Angelica and continue walking until you reach the junction with Via della Conciliazione. Cross the road to reach the Tiber River's edge, and then walk along the riverbank. After a short walk, cross the pedestrian bridge 'Ponte Sant'Angelo' to reach the other side of the river. Continue straight on Via di San Giovanni in Laterano, and then turn right onto Via della Bocca della Verità, where you will find Santa Maria in Cosmedin at Piazza della Bocca della Verità, 18.

From the Sistine Chapel, exit towards the Vatican Museums' main entrance. Walk to the nearest bus stop, 'Cavalleggeri/Gregorio VII', located along Viale Vaticano. Catch bus number 23 towards 'Piazza Venezia'. After approximately 10 minutes, disembark at the stop 'Largo di Torre Argentina'. From there, walk towards Via della Bocca della Verità, turning right onto Via di San Lorenzo in Lucina. Continue straight until you reach Santa Maria in Cosmedin at Piazza della Bocca della Verità, 18.
