Walking
From St. Peter's Basilica, exit the basilica and head towards the main entrance plaza (Piazza San Pietro). Once you reach the plaza, walk straight ahead towards the large street (Via della Conciliazione) that leads away from the basilica. Continue walking down Via della Conciliazione until you reach the intersection with Via dei Fori Imperiali. Turn right onto Via dei Fori Imperiali and continue walking. You will pass by several historical sites. Follow the road until you see the Colosseum on your left. The House of Augustus is located in the Palatine Hill area, which is just a short walk from the Colosseum.

Public Transport (Bus)
From St. Peter's Basilica, exit and walk to the nearest bus stop at Piazza San Pietro. Catch the bus number 85 towards 'Piazza dei Cinquecento'. Stay on the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop 'Colosseo'. Once you disembark, walk towards the Colosseum; the House of Augustus is located on Palatine Hill, which is accessible from the Colosseum.

If you prefer not to walk or take public transport, you can take a taxi from St. Peter's Basilica. Head to the taxi stand located at the entrance of the basilica.
