Walking
From the Sistine Chapel, exit the Vatican Museums through the main entrance. Once you are outside, turn left and walk towards the Vatican City walls. Continue walking along the wall until you reach Via di Porta Angelica. Turn right onto this street and continue straight until you reach the intersection with Via della Conciliazione. Cross the street to stay on Via di Porta Angelica, which will lead you towards the Tiber River. At the river, turn left and follow the riverbank until you reach the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto Corso Vittorio Emanuele II. Continue walking straight, and after about 1 km, you will reach the intersection with Via della Domus Aurea, where you will find the Domus Aurea.
Public Transport
From the Sistine Chapel, exit the Vatican Museums and make your way to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Via di Porta Angelica. Take bus number 49 towards the direction of Stazione Termini. Get off at the stop 'Viale Manzoni' and walk straight along Viale Manzoni. After about a 5-minute walk, you'll reach the intersection with Via della Domus Aurea, where you can find the Domus Aurea.
