Walking
From St. Peter's Square, head towards the main entrance of St. Peter's Basilica. As you exit the square, keep the basilica on your right. Walk straight along Via della Conciliazione for about 600 meters until you reach the Tiber River. Cross the bridge (Ponte Sant'Angelo) to your left and continue straight. After crossing, turn left onto Lungotevere Castello and walk until you reach the entrance of the Castle of the Holy Angel. From there, you will see a path leading up to Aventine Hill. Follow the path to reach the top, where you can enjoy the views.
Public Transport
From St. Peter's Square, walk towards the bus stop located at the end of Via della Conciliazione. Take Bus 23 towards 'Piazza Risorgimento'. After approximately 5 minutes, get off at the stop 'Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere'. From there, it's about a 15-minute walk. Head south on Via della Lungara, then turn right onto Via di San Francesco a Ripa, and you will see signs directing you to Aventine Hill.
Taxi or Ride-Sharing
If you prefer a more comfortable ride, you can request a taxi or a ride-sharing service from St. Peter's Square. Simply use your mobile app or hail a taxi at the designated taxi stand nearby. Provide the driver with 'Aventine Hill' as your destination. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on traffic.
