Travel Guide to Kingsbury Recreation Area

Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from the main resort area of Sugarbush, start by heading southwest on Sugarbush Access Rd. Continue on this road for about 2 miles until you reach a junction with VT-100. Turn left onto VT-100 South and continue for approximately 2.5 miles. Next, turn right onto Stewart Wood Rd. Continue on Stewart Wood Rd for about 0.5 miles, and you will find Kingsbury Recreation Area on your right at 63 Stewart Wood Rd, Warren, VT 05674. Parking is generally available on-site.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, you can take the Mad Bus from Sugarbush Resort. Check the schedule for the Mad Bus to ensure it stops at the Sugarbush Resort. Get off at the stop nearest to the junction of VT-100. From there, you’ll need to call a local taxi service or use a rideshare app like Uber or Lyft to reach Kingsbury Recreation Area, as public transit may not directly serve Stewart Wood Rd. The taxi ride should take about 10 minutes and could cost around $15-20.

• Bicycle

  If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike to Kingsbury Recreation Area, start from Sugarbush Resort and take the Sugarbush Access Rd. Follow the same route as the car directions, turning onto VT-100 South. This route is approximately 5 miles and involves some uphill sections, so prepare accordingly. Once you reach Stewart Wood Rd, turn right and continue until you arrive at the recreation area.
