If you're traveling by car, start on US-13 S from any location in the Chesapeake Bay Region. Follow US-13 S for about 30 miles until you reach the intersection with VA-184 E. Take the exit toward Cape Charles. Continue on VA-184 E, which will take you directly into Cape Charles. Once in town, turn right onto T-1115; the Cape Charles Historic District will be on your left at 5 T-1115, Cape Charles, VA 23310. Parking is available along the streets in the historic district, but be sure to check for any signage regarding parking regulations.

For those using public transportation, you can take the Greyhound bus service to nearby towns such as Eastville or Onancock. From Eastville, you can catch a local taxi or rideshare service to Cape Charles, which is approximately 15 miles away. If you arrive in Onancock, the taxi or rideshare option is also available, as it is about 20 miles to Cape Charles. Make sure to check scheduling in advance as public transport services may not run frequently.

If you're feeling adventurous and want to bike, you can cycle along the scenic roads from nearby towns. Ensure you have a proper map or GPS to navigate. From Eastville, take VA-620 S, then merge onto US-13 S. Finally, take the VA-184 E exit towards Cape Charles. The bike ride is approximately 15 miles and can be very enjoyable with beautiful views of the bay. Be sure to wear a helmet and follow all traffic rules.
