Car
From any point in Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, get onto US-17 S. Follow US-17 S for approximately 10 miles until you reach the intersection with Victory Blvd. Turn left onto Victory Blvd and continue for about 2 miles. Paradise Creek Nature Park will be on your right at 1141 Victory Blvd, Portsmouth, VA 23702. There is free parking available on site.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you will first need to reach the nearest bus station. Depending on your starting point, you can use local bus services to get to the Portsmouth area. Once you are in Portsmouth, take the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus route 2, which runs frequently. Exit at the stop closest to Victory Blvd and walk approximately 0.5 miles east along Victory Blvd to reach Paradise Creek Nature Park. Make sure to check the HRT schedules for any fare costs and operating hours.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, you can bike from the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge to Paradise Creek Nature Park. Follow the same route as for driving; however, be cautious as you will be biking along the road. The distance is about 12 miles, and it may take about 1 hour depending on your cycling speed. Always wear a helmet and follow traffic rules. There are bike racks available at the park for secure parking.
