If you are in downtown Petersburg, start by heading east on E Washington St towards S Sycamore St. Walk straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with S Market St. Turn left onto S Market St and continue walking for about 0.3 miles. You will then reach the Petersburg Amtrak station. From the station, you can take a train to Richmond. Once you arrive in Richmond, exit the station and continue walking east on Broad St. After 0.4 miles, turn right onto N 8th St and then left onto E Marshall St. The John Marshall House will be on your left at 818 E Marshall St.

From downtown Petersburg, head to the nearest bus stop which is located at the intersection of E Washington St and S Sycamore St. You can catch the 'Petersburg to Richmond' bus service. The bus will take you to the Richmond central bus terminal. Once you arrive, walk east on Broad St for about 0.6 miles, then turn right onto N 8th St. Continue for a short distance and then turn left onto E Marshall St. The John Marshall House will be located at 818 E Marshall St on your left.
