If you are starting from Central Washington, the most common route to North Cascades National Park involves taking I-90 W. From cities like Ellensburg or Yakima, head west on I-90. After approximately 70 miles, merge onto US-97 N at exit 106 toward Wenatchee. Continue on US-97 N for around 90 miles until you reach the junction with US-2 W. Take US-2 W toward Leavenworth, and then continue onto WA-20 W, which will take you directly into North Cascades National Park. The entire journey from Central Washington will take about 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on traffic conditions. Be aware of possible tolls on the roads, and check for any seasonal road closures, especially on WA-20.
