If you're driving from Hood River, start by heading east on Oak Street toward 12th Street. Continue straight onto the Hood River Bridge and pay the toll (approximately $2). Once across the bridge, follow signs to WA-14 E. After about 14 miles, take the exit toward Lyle and merge onto Old Hwy 8. Continue on Old Hwy 8 for approximately 4 miles. The Catherine Creek Day Use Area/Trailhead will be on your left, just before you reach Lyle, WA. Look for the parking area.

To reach Catherine Creek Day Use Area/Trailhead via public transport, take the Columbia Area Transit (CAT) bus from downtown Hood River. The CAT Route 1 will take you to Lyle. Check the schedule for the exact times and stops. Once you arrive in Lyle, you will need to walk approximately 1.5 miles west on Old Hwy 8. Be mindful of traffic as there are no dedicated sidewalks for this stretch. There may be limited service, so plan accordingly.
