Car
If you are traveling by car, start on I-84 E from any point in Columbia River Gorge. Take exit 44 toward Cascade Locks. After exiting, turn left onto Bridge of the Gods Hwy (Hwy 30) and follow the signs for Cascade Locks. Continue on this road for about 1.5 miles, then take a left onto Viento State Park Road. The park entrance will be on your left after a short drive.
Public Transportation
If using public transportation, take the Columbia Gorge Express bus service, which operates between Portland and various locations in the gorge, including Cascade Locks. Board the bus at the Gateway Transit Center in Portland. Once you arrive at Cascade Locks, you will need to walk approximately 1 mile to Viento State Park. Follow the signs towards the park, heading east along the Historic Columbia River Highway (Hwy 30) until you reach the park entrance.
Biking
For those who prefer biking, you can follow the Historic Columbia River Highway State Trail. Start at any point along the trail and head east towards Cascade Locks. The trail is well-marked and offers beautiful views along the way. Once you reach Cascade Locks, continue on the road towards Viento State Park, which is about a 2-mile ride from the center of Cascade Locks. Be careful of traffic when approaching the park entrance.
