Getting There

• Car

  If you are traveling by car, start by heading towards NF-11 from your current location in Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Use a GPS device or a map application to navigate to NF-11, Concrete, WA 98237. Once you are on NF-11, continue driving for approximately 14 miles until you reach the Shadow of the Sentinels Interpretive Site, which will be located on your right. There is no entrance fee for this scenic site, but make sure your vehicle is in good condition for potentially rugged terrain.

• Public Transportation

  For public transportation, you will need to first get to the nearest bus station that services the area around Mount Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. Check local bus schedules for routes that go to Concrete, WA. Once you arrive in Concrete, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to NF-11, as public transit does not directly service the Shadow of the Sentinels Interpretive Site. The approximate distance from Concrete to the site is about 14 miles. Be prepared for additional costs for the taxi or rideshare service.

• Hiking

  If you are already in the vicinity and enjoy hiking, you can take one of the many trails leading towards NF-11. Make sure to carry a map or GPS device, as the trails can be winding and might not be well-marked. The hike can be challenging and may take several hours depending on your starting point. Ensure you have adequate supplies such as water, food, and a first aid kit.
