Car
If you are driving, make your way to the Paradise area of Mount Rainier National Park. From the main entrance at Nisqually Entrance, follow the signs for Mount Rainier National Park and drive along WA-706 E for approximately 20 miles. Continue onto Paradise Road, which leads directly into the Paradise area. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Inspiration Point. The road may be narrow and winding, so drive cautiously. Once you reach the Paradise parking area, park your vehicle in the designated lot. There is an entrance fee to the park, which is $30 per vehicle for a 7-day pass.
Public Transportation
If you're using public transportation, take the Sound Transit bus from Seattle to the Mount Rainier area. You will need to transfer to a shuttle service that operates within the park. The shuttle service typically runs from late June to early September, so be sure to check the schedule ahead of time. Once you arrive at the Paradise area, disembark at the Paradise Visitor Center. From there, you can follow the signs for the short trail leading to Inspiration Point. The shuttle fare may vary, so check the current prices before your trip.
Hiking
Once you have parked at the Paradise area, you will need to hike approximately 0.5 miles to reach Inspiration Point. Follow the designated trails from the Paradise Visitor Center, which are well-marked. The trail is relatively easy but may be steep in some sections. Enjoy the stunning views along the way, and be sure to wear appropriate hiking footwear. If you have a park map or use a mobile app, you can easily navigate to Inspiration Point from the Paradise Visitor Center.
