Car
If you are driving from any location in the San Juan Islands, first take a ferry back to the mainland. The most common route is to take the Washington State Ferry from Friday Harbor to Anacortes. The ferry ride takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive in Anacortes, drive south on Highway 20, then take Interstate 5 South towards Bellingham. After about 1 hour of driving, take exit 253 for Lakeway Dr. Continue straight onto Potter St, and you will find the Bellingham Visitor Information Center at 904 Potter St, Bellingham, WA 98229.

For those using public transportation, start by taking the Washington State Ferry from Friday Harbor to Anacortes. Once you arrive in Anacortes, you can take a Skagit Transit bus (Route 90) to Bellingham. The bus will take approximately 1.5 hours.
