Walking
If you are already within Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, locate the main Visitor Center at 171 Shoreline Drive. From the Visitor Center, exit and head northeast on Shoreline Drive, following the signs for the historic district. Continue straight for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with Potomac Street. Turn left onto Potomac Street and go approximately 0.1 miles to the intersection with High Street. Turn right onto High Street and walk uphill for about 0.2 miles. You will see the Ruins of St. John's Episcopal Church on your left.

Car
If you are driving, start from the Visitor Center at 171 Shoreline Drive. Head northeast on Shoreline Drive and turn left onto US-340 N. Continue for about 1 mile, then take the exit toward Harpers Ferry. Follow the signs for Harpers Ferry. Once you arrive in the town, park in one of the designated parking areas. After parking, follow the walking directions mentioned above from the Visitor Center to reach St. John's Episcopal Church.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, take the MARC train or Amtrak to Harpers Ferry Station. From the station, it's approximately a 1-mile walk to the church. Exit the station and head northeast on Shenandoah Street, then turn left onto Potomac Street. Continue walking straight for about 0.5 miles, then turn right onto High Street. Walk uphill for another 0.2 miles until you see the Ruins of St. John's Episcopal Church on your left. Note that there may be a fee for the train, so check the current fares.
