From downtown Racine, walk to the nearest bus stop on Main Street. Take the Route 12 bus heading north towards Milwaukee. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop at 3rd Street and Wells Street in Milwaukee. From there, walk east on Wells Street for two blocks until you reach the intersection with N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr. Turn left and walk north for about 5 minutes until you arrive at the Milwaukee County Historical Society at 910 N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr.

If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike-sharing services in Racine. Head north on the bike path along Lake Michigan. Follow the path until you reach Milwaukee. Once in Milwaukee, head towards North Avenue, and then go west on North Avenue until you reach N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr. Turn left and ride for about 10 minutes until you arrive at the Milwaukee County Historical Society at 910 N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr.

If you are up for a longer walk, start at the Racine Civic Centre. Walk north on 6th Street until you reach Main Street. Turn left on Main Street and walk to the nearest bus stop. Alternatively, continue walking north until you reach the shoreline, then follow the coast along the lakeside walking path to Milwaukee. This is a scenic route that will take around 2 hours. Once you reach Milwaukee, head towards Wells Street and then left onto N Doctor M.L.K. Jr Dr to arrive at the Milwaukee County Historical Society.
