Florence was born and raised in Kyenjojo, Uganda. She moved to Canada with her husband, Moses, in the late 1990s seeking better opportunities for their family. Adjusting to a new culture and climate was challenging, but Florence's resilient spirit and strong sense of community helped her thrive. She initially worked various jobs to make ends meet, but her passion for helping others led her to her current role as a Community Outreach Coordinator. She's deeply involved in Brampton's Ugandan community and enjoys sharing her heritage with others.

My Travel Highlight
One of my most cherished travel memories is when Moses and I visited a remote village in Uganda. We spent the day learning about their traditions, sharing stories, and even participating in a traditional dance. The genuine connection we felt with the people there was something I will never forget.

Favourite Destination
Uganda, my homeland, will always hold a special place in my heart. Returning there is like a warm embrace, filled with familiar sights, sounds, and flavors. It's where my roots are, and I feel most connected to myself when I'm there.

The Serena Hotel in Kampala, Uganda. It's an oasis of luxury and tranquility in the heart of the city. The staff is incredibly welcoming, the rooms are beautifully decorated, and the gardens are a peaceful escape.

My Adventurous Destination
Hiking through the Rwenzori Mountains in Uganda was an incredible adventure. The challenging terrain, the stunning scenery, and the feeling of accomplishment when we reached the summit made it an unforgettable experience.

Italy! The pasta is amazing, the pizza is divine, and the gelato is heavenly. Every meal is a celebration of flavors, and I love how passionate Italians are about their food.
