If you are driving, start from downtown Florence, AL. Head east on E Mobile St toward N Court St. Continue onto AL-133 N/Florence Blvd. After about 1.5 miles, take a slight right onto AL-20 E. Continue on AL-20 E for about 3 miles, then turn left onto N Pine St. After approximately 0.5 miles, turn right onto E Tennessee St. The historic marker will be located just ahead on your left at the intersection with N Wood Ave.

To reach the marker using public transportation, take the local bus service (check the Shoals Transit Authority for schedules) from downtown Florence. Board the bus heading toward the Florence Boulevard area. Once you disembark, you may need to walk to the corner of N Pine St and E Tennessee St. The historic marker is located at this intersection, about a 10-minute walk from the nearest bus stop.

If you are already in downtown Florence and prefer to walk, head east on E Mobile St toward N Court St. Continue straight as E Mobile St becomes AL-133 N/Florence Blvd. It is about a 30-minute walk (1.5 miles) to the historic marker. Follow AL-20 E, then turn left onto N Pine St and right onto E Tennessee St. The marker will be on your left at the junction with N Wood Ave.
