Walking
From Gjirokastra's Old Town, follow the cobblestone path uphill towards the castle. The walk is steep and takes approximately 30-40 minutes. Signage is available to guide you. Be prepared for stairs.

Taxi
Taxis are readily available in Gjirokastra's New Town. A taxi ride to the castle entrance from the city center costs approximately 300-500 LEK. The journey takes less than 10 minutes. Taxis can drop you off near the entrance, minimizing the uphill walk.

If driving, follow the main road uphill towards the castle. Limited free parking is available near the castle entrance. Be aware that the road is narrow and steep, requiring careful driving. Alternatively, park in the underground parking garage at Çerçiz Topulli in the New Town for approximately €2 for 3 hours and walk up to the castle.
