    From Bitola, taxis are readily available. A taxi to the park's information center costs approximately 400 MKD. Alternatively, a taxi to the park entrance near Magarevo costs around 200 MKD if called in advance. Be prepared for a 1-hour and 35-minute journey.

    The best way to reach Pelister is from Bitola, via the villages of Trnovo and Magarevo. The drive takes approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes. Parking is available at various points within the park, including near Hotel Molika and the Kopanki mountain hut.

Pelister National Park, nestled in the Baba Mountain massif, stands as North Macedonia's first national park, established in 1948. Encompassing 171.5 square kilometers, the park boasts a diverse landscape ranging from 927 to 2,601 meters above sea level. The park is renowned for its rich biodiversity, including over 1,050 plant species. The most famous is the Molika pine (Pinus peuce), a unique five-needle pine species dating back to the Cenozoic era. These trees, some over 230 years old, form some of the oldest and most compact forest communities in the Balkans.
