If you are driving, start by heading to Flagstaff, AZ. From downtown Flagstaff, take US-180 N for about 13 miles. Look for signs for Coconino National Forest. Turn left onto Forest Service Road 9410 (FS 9410), and continue for approximately 2 miles. Playa Ponderosa will be on your right at 4535 Forest Service 9410 Rd, Flagstaff, AZ 86001. There is no entry fee for this area.

If you are using public transportation, take the Mountain Line bus from downtown Flagstaff towards the Snowbowl. Get off at the Snowbowl road stop. From there, you would need to use a rideshare service or taxi to reach Playa Ponderosa, as it is not accessible by public transport directly. Expect costs for the rideshare to be around $15-$25 depending on the demand.

For those already within the Coconino National Forest, if you are near the Snowbowl area, you can hike to Playa Ponderosa.
