    From Interstate 40, take Exit 311 for the Painted Desert/Petrified Forest National Park. Follow the signs to the park's north entrance. After entering the park, continue along the main park road (Petrified Forest Road) for approximately 0.5 miles. Tiponi Point will be on your right, just past the Painted Desert Visitor Center. There is a parking area available.
