Car
From the center of Petrified Forest National Park, head east on the Painted Desert Rim Drive. Continue driving until you reach the junction with US-180. Turn left onto US-180 and continue for approximately 7 miles until you reach the intersection with I-40. Take the exit for I-40 East toward Holbrook. Continue on I-40 for about 20 miles. Take exit 286 for AZ-77 toward Holbrook/Show Low. Keep right at the fork and follow signs for AZ-77 South. After about 5 miles, you will reach the Painted Desert Indian Center located at 9345 Old Rte 66, Holbrook, AZ 86025.
Public Transportation
While there is limited public transportation directly to the Painted Desert Indian Center, you can take a Greyhound bus to Holbrook, AZ. From the Greyhound station, you will need to take a taxi or rideshare service to reach the Painted Desert Indian Center, which is approximately 10 miles away. Be sure to check the Greyhound schedule in advance as services may vary.
