Car
If you are traveling by car within Red Rock Country, start your journey on US-191. From Moab, head south on US-191 for approximately 10 miles. Look for the signs pointing to Arches National Park. You'll then enter the park through the entrance station, where you may need to pay an entrance fee (around $30 per vehicle, valid for 7 days). Once inside the park, continue driving along the park road for about 18 miles, following signs for 'Devils Garden.' As you approach the end of the road, you'll find a parking area for the Mesa Arch trailhead. Park your vehicle here and proceed on foot to reach the stunning Mesa Arch.
Public Transportation
If you prefer using public transportation, you will first need to take a shuttle or bus from your location in Moab to Arches National Park. The Moab Adventure Center offers shuttle services to the park, typically costing around $30 per person round trip. After arriving at the park, you will still need to travel by the park's free shuttle service or walk to the Mesa Arch trailhead. It is recommended to check the shuttle schedule ahead of time for availability and timing. Once you reach the trailhead, it is a short 0.5-mile hike to the arch.
Bicycle
For the more adventurous, biking to Mesa Arch is another option. You can rent a bicycle in Moab and ride south on US-191 towards Arches National Park. Make sure to wear a helmet and stay safe while biking on the main road. The bike ride is about 10 miles and can be challenging, especially in the heat. Once you arrive at the park entrance, simply follow the same route as those driving, and lock your bike at the trailhead parking area before hiking to Mesa Arch.
