Getting There

• Car

  From any location in Tonto National Forest, head towards the nearest main road leading to Apache Junction. If you are near the Superstition Wilderness area, you can take the N Apache Trail (AZ-88) south towards Apache Junction. Continue on AZ-88 until you reach the intersection with US-60. Take the ramp onto US-60 E towards Globe. After approximately 10 miles, take exit 197 for AZ-88 toward Apache Junction. Follow AZ-88 N and then turn left onto N Mammoth Mine Rd. The Goldfield Historical Society will be on your right at 4650 N Mammoth Mine Rd.

• Public Transportation

  While public transportation options are limited in this area, you can take a Greyhound bus to Apache Junction from major cities like Phoenix. Once you arrive in Apache Junction, you will need to use a rideshare service like Uber or Lyft, or a taxi to reach Goldfield Historical Society at 4650 N Mammoth Mine Rd. Please note that rideshare services may have varying availability, so plan accordingly.

• Bicycle

  For the more adventurous, if you are staying in or near Apache Junction, you can rent a bicycle and ride from the city to Goldfield Historical Society. Head north on S Ocotillo Rd, then turn left onto E Apache Trail (AZ-88). Follow AZ-88 until you see N Mammoth Mine Rd and turn right. The destination will be on your right. Be cautious of traffic and ensure you have all necessary safety gear.
