If you're driving, start from the central area of Tonto National Forest. Take AZ-87 S towards Phoenix. After about 14 miles, merge onto US-60 W. Continue on US-60 W for approximately 22 miles. Take Exit 196 for Idaho Rd towards Apache Junction. Turn left onto Idaho Rd and continue for about 3 miles. Then, turn right onto E Apache Trail. The Superstition Mountain - Lost Dutchman Museum will be on your right at 4087 E Apache Trail, Apache Junction, AZ 85119.

To reach the museum using public transportation, first, find a bus route that services the area from Tonto National Forest to Apache Junction. Check local bus schedules for the closest stop to your location in Tonto National Forest. You will likely need to take a bus towards Phoenix and transfer at a major transit hub to catch a bus heading to Apache Junction. Once in Apache Junction, ask the driver to let you off at the nearest stop to E Apache Trail. From there, you can either walk or use a rideshare service to cover the last mile to the museum located at 4087 E Apache Trail.
