    To reach the Aragats Alpine State Sanctuary via public transport, begin by taking a marshrutka (minibus) from Yerevan to Aparan from Kilikia bus station. The marshrutka ride costs approximately 500 AMD and takes around 1 hour and 17 minutes. From Aparan, take a shared taxi or another minibus to the village of Aragats for around 500 AMD. From Aragats village, you can walk or hire a local taxi to the sanctuary, roughly 5 kilometers away; negotiate the fare beforehand.

    A taxi directly from Yerevan to Aragats Alpine State Sanctuary typically costs between 5000-7000 AMD and takes approximately 1.5 hours. You can arrange a taxi through local services or apps like Yandex Go. Agree on the fare with the driver before starting your journey.

    If driving from Yerevan, head north on the M-1 highway towards Ashtarak. From Ashtarak, follow the road towards Byurakan and then up towards the base of Mount Aragats. The drive takes approximately 1.5 hours. There is no entry fee for the sanctuary.
