Car
From the Geghama Mountains, head south on the main road towards Garni. Continue on this road for approximately 10 kilometers until you see signs for Geghard Monastery. Turn left at the sign and follow the winding road up the hill for about 3 kilometers. You will find the monastery at the end of the road, where there is parking available.

Public Transportation
If you are using public transport, you will first need to head to the nearest bus station. From the Geghama Mountains, take a taxi or a local minibus to the town of Garni. Once in Garni, look for a bus or minibus heading to Geghard. The ride will take about 15 minutes, and you'll be dropped off at the entrance of the monastery area. Be prepared to walk a short distance to reach the monastery itself.

Walking
If you're already nearby in the Geghama Mountains, you can also hike to Geghard Monastery. Start from any point in the mountains and navigate towards the southern slopes leading down to the valley. Follow the winding paths down for about 4 kilometers, ensuring you are heading towards the distinctive cliffs where the monastery is carved into the rock. This route may take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace, so wear good walking shoes and carry water.
