Getting There

  • Car

    From Geghard Monastery, exit the monastery grounds and drive southeast on the road leading towards Garni. Continue on this road for about 8 kilometers (approximately 15 minutes). Look for signs directing you to Garni Village. As you approach the village, watch for the Garni Visitor Center on your left at Havuts Tar Trail, 2215. There is parking available near the visitor center.

  • Public Transportation

    Exit Geghard Monastery and walk to the nearest bus stop. Look for a minibus or shared taxi (marshrutka) heading to Garni. The journey should take about 20 minutes, and the fare is typically around 300-500 AMD (Armenian Dram). Inform the driver to drop you off at Garni Visitor Center, which is located along Havuts Tar Trail, 2215. From the drop-off point, it is a short walk to the visitor center.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, exit Geghard Monastery and head towards the main road leading to Garni Village. The distance is approximately 8 kilometers and should take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Follow the signs for Garni, and enjoy the scenic views along the way. Once you reach Garni, you will find the Garni Visitor Center located at Havuts Tar Trail, 2215.
