Car
From Atherton, head southeast on Main Street towards the Atherton-Townsville Road (State Route 1). Continue on this road for approximately 29 kilometers. You'll reach Kuranda. Once in Kuranda, follow the signs for Barron Gorge National Park, which is located at Wrights Lookout Road, Kuranda QLD 4881. There is no entry fee for the park, making this a budget-friendly destination. Parking is available near the entrance.

Public Transport
To reach Barron Gorge National Park using public transport, take a TransLink bus from Atherton to Cairns. You can catch the bus at the Atherton Bus Station. The journey takes about 1 hour. Once you reach Cairns, transfer to the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, which takes you to Kuranda. Once in Kuranda, follow the signs to Barron Gorge National Park, or take a short taxi ride. The Skyrail costs approximately AUD 55 one-way, and there is no entry fee for the park.
