From Cairns, head to the Cairns Central Station located at 1 Spence St, Cairns City. Look for the local bus terminal nearby. Take the 'Kuranda Scenic Railway' bus (Route 323) which departs regularly. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Ask the driver to let you know when you reach the Kuranda stop. Once you arrive at Kuranda, follow the signs to the Kuranda Heritage Markets, which is about a 5-minute walk from the bus stop.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway
For a unique experience, start at the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway station located at 6 Skyrail Drive, Smithfield. You can take a taxi or ride-sharing service from central Cairns to reach there. Purchase a ticket for the Skyrail, which will take you over the rainforest to Kuranda. Enjoy stunning views during the 7.5 km journey, which takes about 1.5 hours. Once you arrive at the Kuranda station, follow the signs to the Kuranda Heritage Markets, located approximately 500 meters away, about a 10-minute walk.
