If you are driving to Anvil Rock Lookout, start by entering Blue Mountains National Park via the Great Western Highway (A32). Once in the park, follow signs to Blackheath. From Blackheath, take the Hat Hill Road and follow it until you reach Anvil Rock Track. There is a small parking area at the trailhead. The lookout is a short walk from the parking area, approximately 1km along Anvil Rock Track, which is well-marked. Ensure you have a valid national park entry pass, which costs around AUD 8 per vehicle for a day pass.

Public Transport
For those using public transport, take a train from Sydney to Blackheath Station. Upon arrival at Blackheath Station, exit the station and look for the bus stop on the corner of the highway. Board the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus, which offers a hop-on, hop-off service. Get off at the 'Anvil Rock Lookout' stop. From the bus stop, follow the clearly marked Anvil Rock Track to the lookout, approximately a 1km walk. Make sure to check the bus schedules ahead of time as services may be limited.

If you are already in the vicinity and prefer hiking, you can access Anvil Rock Lookout via the Anvil Rock Track. Starting from the parking area, follow the track that leads you through scenic bushland. The trail is well-maintained but can be steep in places.
