Experience Face Track

Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, start from the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre, which is the main access point to the park. From the Visitor Centre, take the Cradle Mountain Road (C132) heading south. Continue for approximately 6.5 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Dove Lake Road. Turn left onto Dove Lake Road and follow it until you reach the Dove Lake car park. From the car park, you will find signage for the Face Track. The track begins near the visitor area, and you can start your hike from there.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take a bus to the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre operated by Tasmania's public bus services. Once you arrive at the Visitor Centre, you can either walk to Dove Lake (approximately a 30-minute walk) or catch a shuttle bus if available. From the Dove Lake car park, follow the signs to the Face Track, which is easily accessible from this area.

    If you are already within the vicinity and prefer walking, head towards the Dove Lake car park from the Visitor Centre, which is about 6.5 kilometers away.
