Car
If you're traveling by car, start from the Visitor Centre at Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Head south on Cradle Mountain Road for about 5 kilometers until you reach the turn-off for Lake St Clair. Follow the signs to Lake St Clair, which will lead you onto Lake St Clair Road. Continue for approximately 25 kilometers until you arrive at Lake St Clair. Parking is available at the visitor area, but please note that a National Parks entry fee is required, which is approximately AUD 40 per vehicle.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, you will need to take a bus service that operates from Launceston or Hobart to Cradle Mountain. Once you arrive at the Cradle Mountain visitor area, you can take a shuttle bus that operates from the visitor center to Lake St Clair. This shuttle service may incur a small fee, around AUD 20 one way. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance as they may vary.

Hiking
For the more adventurous, consider hiking to the World Heritage Area from the Cradle Mountain Visitor Centre. The hike to Lake St Clair is approximately 47 kilometers and can take 2-3 days, so ensure you are well-prepared with proper gear and food supplies. There are several trails in the park, and you can use the Overland Track as your main route. Make sure to register your hike at the Visitor Centre and pay the appropriate fees.
