Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in Southbank, start by heading towards St Kilda Road. Walk north along the Yarra River promenade until you reach the intersection with St Kilda Road. From there, cross St Kilda Road at the pedestrian lights and continue along the footpath on the left side. You will see the Shrine of Remembrance in the distance. It is approximately a 15-20 minute walk from the central areas of Southbank.

    You can catch tram number 58, which runs towards Toorak. Board the tram at any stop along St Kilda Road in Southbank. After about 5 stops, get off at the 'Shrine of Remembrance' stop. From there, it's just a short walk to the entrance of the shrine, which should take about 5 minutes. Make sure to check the tram timetable for any potential delays. A Myki card is required for tram travel, and you can purchase one at the nearest convenience store or tram station. The cost is approximately AUD 6 for a new card and AUD 4.50 for a single trip.
