Public Transport
From Eisenstadt, head to the Eisenstadt train station (Bahnhof Eisenstadt). Take the train to Wien Hauptbahnhof (Vienna Main Station). The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Wien Hauptbahnhof, transfer to the U-Bahn (subway) and take the U1 line towards Leopoldau. Get off at Stephansplatz station. From there, exit the station and walk towards the direction of the St. Stephen's Cathedral. Continue straight until you reach Graben Street, then turn left. Follow Graben until you reach the junction with Kohlmarkt. Continue straight until you reach the Ringstrasse, where you will turn right. Walk for about 10 minutes until you reach Rathausplatz. The Christkindlmarkt am Rathausplatz will be right in front of the City Hall (Rathaus).

If you are already in the city center of Eisenstadt, you can take a leisurely walk to Rathausplatz in Vienna. Start at the Esterházy Palace and walk towards the main square (Hauptplatz). From there, head towards the train station and board a train to Vienna. Once in Vienna, follow the public transport instructions above.

From Eisenstadt, you can also take a bus to Vienna. Go to the Eisenstadt bus station located at Bahnhofplatz. Look for a bus heading to Wien (Vienna) and board it. The bus ride typically takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the bus station in Vienna, you can either walk or take the U-Bahn (subway) to Rathausplatz. If walking, head towards the Ringstrasse and follow the same walking directions as mentioned above.
