Getting There

• Car

  To reach Kapuzinerberg by car from Fuschlsee, start by heading southeast on the B158 road. Continue on B158 for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction with B150. Take a left onto B150 and follow the signs to Salzburg. After about 5 kilometers, take the exit toward Salzburg. Once in Salzburg, follow the signs for the city center (Zentrum). After arriving in the city center, look for parking options around the area of Kapuzinerberg. There are several parking garages available, such as the Altstadtgarage or Parkplatz Mirabell. Note that parking fees may apply, typically ranging from €1 to €4 per hour.

• Public Transportation

  To get to Kapuzinerberg using public transportation, start by taking the bus from Fuschlsee to Salzburg. The closest bus station in Fuschlsee is located at the main square (Marktplatz). Catch the bus number 150, which travels directly to Salzburg. The ride will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Salzburg bus station, you can either walk to Kapuzinerberg or take tram line 1 towards 'Alpensiedlung' and get off at 'Linzer Gasse'. From there, it’s a short walk to Kapuzinerberg. Be aware that bus tickets cost around €3.50 for a one-way trip.

• Walking

  After arriving in Salzburg via public transport, if you choose to walk to Kapuzinerberg from the bus station, head towards the Salzach River and cross the bridge. Once across, follow the path along the river until you reach the entrance to the Kapuzinerberg hiking trail. The walk should take around 20-30 minutes, and the trail up to the peak is well-marked. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as the path can be steep in some areas.
