If you are driving, start in the town of Hermagor in Gailtal. Head south on B111 towards the Italian border. After approximately 20 km, take the exit towards Bovec/Log pod Mangartom. Follow signs for Log pod Mangartom, and after entering the village, continue straight until you reach Strmec na Predelu. The fort is located at Strmec na Predelu 27, 5231 Log pod Mangartom, Slovenia. There is parking available near the fortress.

To reach Fort Predel using public transportation, take a train or bus from Gailtal to Bovec, Slovenia. From Bovec, you can catch a local bus to Log pod Mangartom.
