Walking
If you are starting from Graz Hauptbahnhof (the main train station), exit the station and head towards the tram stop right outside. Take tram line 1 towards 'Graz, Jakominiplatz' and get off at 'Jakominiplatz' after three stops. From Jakominiplatz, walk towards the south along the Herrengasse street, which will lead you to the main square, the Hauptplatz. At the Hauptplatz, continue towards the north until you reach the end of the square, and then take the stairs leading up to the Schloßberg hill. Follow the signs indicating 'Kriegssteig' which will guide you to the specific trail you need.

Public Transport
From any central location in Graz, you can use the public bus system. Look for bus lines 30 or 31 heading towards 'Schloßberg' and get off at 'Schloßbergplatz'. Once you alight, you will see the entrance to the Schloßberg park. Follow the paths leading up to the Kriegssteig trail. The signs are well-marked, and you will enjoy beautiful views of Graz as you ascend.

Walking
If you are near the Kunsthaus Graz, walk east along the banks of the Mur River until you reach the bridge at Murinsel. Cross the bridge, and you will find the path leading up to the Schloßberg. Follow the pathway that ascends through the park. Look for signs indicating 'Kriegssteig', and you will arrive at your destination in a short while.

From the Graz Opera House, head southeast towards the main square. Once you reach the Hauptplatz, walk towards the north side and find the stairs leading to the Schloßberg. The ascent will take you directly to the Kriegssteig path. Just follow the trail signs, and enjoy the panoramic views of Graz along the way.
