Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the main square, Hauptplatz, walk towards the south along Herrengasse. Continue straight until you reach the end of Herrengasse, which leads to the Mur River. Cross the Mur River via the nearby bridge (Grazer Hauptbrücke) and head uphill towards Schloßberg. Follow the signs to the Schloßberg funicular or take the stairs to reach the top of the hill. Once at the top, look for the Chinese Pavilion, which is located at Schloßberg 2. It's a short walk from the funicular station.

    From the Graz Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take tram line 1 or 7 towards Jakominiplatz. Get off at the Jakominiplatz stop. From there, walk south on Hauptplatz and continue along Herrengasse until you reach the Mur River. Cross the river using the Grazer Hauptbrücke, then head uphill towards Schloßberg. You can either take the funicular to the top or walk up the steps. The Chinese Pavilion is located at Schloßberg 2, just a short distance from the funicular exit.
