Walking
If you are in the city center of Graz, start at the Hauptplatz (Main Square). Walk towards the east on Herrengasse, which is a pedestrian zone filled with shops and cafes. Continue straight until you reach the end of Herrengasse, where it intersects with the Karmeliterplatz. From here, turn left onto the Karmeliterplatz and continue straight. You will see the entrance to the Schlossberg funicular on your right. Take the funicular up to the top of Schlossberg Hill.

Public Transport
From the Graz Hauptbahnhof (main train station), take tram line 1 or 7 towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Jakominiplatz'. From Jakominiplatz, you can either walk to the Schlossberg funicular (about a 10-minute walk) or take tram line 3 or 5 to the stop 'Schlossberg'. After getting off at the Schlossberg stop, follow the signs to the funicular entrance.

If you are near the Mur River, walk along the riverbank towards the city center. You will come to the pedestrian bridge called the 'Murinsel' (an island in the river). Cross the bridge, and upon reaching the other side, walk towards the 'Schlossberg' signs. Follow the signs uphill, which will lead you to the funicular entrance for an easy ascent to Schlossberg.
