Walking
If you're starting from St. Stephen's Cathedral (Stephansdom), head north on Stephansplatz towards Graben street. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of Graben, where it merges into Kohlmarkt street. Turn left onto Kohlmarkt and walk until you reach the intersection with Herrengasse. Take a right onto Herrengasse and continue until you reach the end, where you'll find the Hofburg Palace. From there, take a left onto Am Hof street, and Mariensäule will be located in the square at the end of the street.

Public Transport
From the Vienna State Opera (Wiener Staatsoper), walk to the nearby Karlsplatz U-Bahn station. Take the U1 (Red Line) in the direction of Leopoldau and get off at Stephansplatz station. From there, exit the station and head north towards Graben street. Continue walking straight until you reach the end of Graben, where it merges into Kohlmarkt street. Turn left onto Kohlmarkt, take a right onto Herrengasse, and walk until you reach Am Hof street. Mariensäule will be in the square at the end of Am Hof.

If you're near the Ringstrasse, you can take tram line D towards Nussdorf. Get off at the stop 'Schottentor'. From there, walk towards the city center. Head down Währinger Straße, then turn left onto Universitätsstraße. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Herrengasse, then turn right. Follow Herrengasse until you reach Am Hof street, where you'll find Mariensäule in the square.
