If you are starting from the central area of Dhaka, such as Shahbagh, you can take a rickshaw directly to the Old Central Jail. Just tell the rickshaw puller 'Jail Road, Lalbagh' or show them the location on your phone. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you will find the Old Central Jail on Jail Road, marked by its large gates.

From the Dhaka University area, you can catch a local bus heading towards Lalbagh. Look for buses that have 'Lalbagh' written on the front. Board the bus and stay on until you reach the Lalbagh area. After getting off, it's about a 10-minute walk to Old Central Jail. Head straight onto Jail Road, and you'll see the jail on your left.

If you are near the Lalbagh Fort, you can easily walk to the Old Central Jail. From Lalbagh Fort, head south towards Jail Road. It will take you about 10 minutes on foot. Just walk straight down and you will see the Old Central Jail ahead on your left.
