The park spans approximately 16,352 hectares and includes the islands of Char Osman, Char Kamla, Char Muri, and Ballar Char. The park's history began in the 1950s when fishermen used the island as a temporary home and named it Ichamoti Dwip, recognizing its abundant prawn.
