Getting There

  • Car

    From Shillong, drive towards Pynursla. Continue towards Wahkhen village, approximately 50 km from Shillong, which takes around 1.5 to 2 hours. Parking is available at the village. Parking charges for cars are approximately INR 50.

  • Walking

    The trek starts from the parking area in Wahkhen village. Follow the marked trail, which first descends towards the Wahrew River. The bamboo bridges start shortly after crossing the river. The trek to Mawryngkhang rock and back takes approximately 3-5 hours. Entrance fee to the trek is INR 100 per adult.
