    From the Saint Bavo's Cathedral, head south towards the city center. Continue straight on the Sint-Baafsplein for about 300 meters until you reach the intersection with the Veldstraat. Turn left onto Veldstraat, and walk for another 200 meters. When you reach the end of Veldstraat, continue straight onto the Botermarkt. You will find the Ghent City Hall at Botermarkt 1, right at the square.

    If you are near the Gent-Sint-Pieters railway station, take tram number 1 towards the city center. Get off at the 'Korenmarkt' stop. From there, walk towards the Gravensteen Castle, then head south on the Sint-Veerleplein until you reach the Hoogpoort.
