Experience Lamanai Archaeological Reserve

Getting There

  • Car

    From Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary, head southwest on the main road (Philip Goldson Highway). Continue for approximately 8 miles until you reach the junction at Orange Walk Town. From there, follow signs for the Lamanai Archaeological Reserve. Turn onto the road leading towards the river and follow it for about 3 miles until you reach the boat launch area. Parking is available near the launch area. Note that you will need to take a boat to reach Lamanai, which can be arranged at the launch.

    Take a bus from Crooked Tree to Orange Walk Town. Buses run frequently throughout the day and the fare is approximately BZD 5.
